February 1 – Rouge Poetry Returns!
Hello Poetry Lovers!! It’s a new year and a beautiful new season of Rouge Poetry! We the BIP have missed our Rouge Poetry family. We are back with some dope poetry including some out of town guests, the music as always with be fire and we’re starting a new slam season that will be nothing short of amazing!
Tuesday February 1, Rouge Poetry returns with what will be a season opener to remember.

Krystle Dos Santos
Award winning Soul/Jazz songstress, Krystle Dos Santos, is releasing her sophomore concept album on Feb 1, 2011. This vibrant singer/songwriter, in collaboration with producer KazMega has created a fresh new sound with her new album “Fame Fatale” called electro-soul, combining dancy beats, booming and haunting vocals and an epic tale that dramatically weaves you through the album and will leave you wanting more.
She has chosen our Rouge Poetry Stage to debut her album. This is a rare treat you cannot miss!

A member of the 2009 and 2010 Vancouver Poetry Slam teams, one of 2 Dope Boys in a Cadillac, and the 2010 Van Slam Grand Champion, Johnny MacRae is a self-identified shithouse poet. He’s been called A Douchebag, a scraggly bear riding a circus bike, and many other hurtful things. He has designated himself Public Enema Number One, and his feet hate shoes.
It’s going to be a hype show and we hope to see you all there!!
