2012 Edmonton Slam Team

Hello family,

I would like to start off by saying thank you, a thousand times. Over and over again.
The slam became more than we anticipated. Not only have you stuck with us, but you have continued
to support us through thick and thin.
It was unfortunate for those who couldn’t find a seat.
As we continue to grow, we will do our best to accommodate the growth.
Thank you on behalf of everyone from the Breath In Poetry collective.

Also, we would like to thank the Edmonton Poetry Festival.

The Slams were absolutely fantastic. The audience enjoyed every second of it. Finger snaps could be heard
like rain drops across the packed yet surprisingly cool room.
Minds were altered, no pun intended.
Poets brought a serious caliber of poetry.
But we understand that only 5 will be representing Edmonton

Thank you to all the poets
who competed

Bert
Sara
Colin
Liam
Kathryn
Madgine
Anthony
Kaz Mega

The Winners in order are

2012 Edmonton Slam Champion – Colin Matty
2nd Place – Kathryn
3rd place – Madgine
4th place – Liam Coady
5th place – Sara

This Tuesday we will be at Rouge Lounge like every other Tuesday.
We have Sense-Say coming through to spit some knowledge.

On May 15th we have our Cypher Slam happening.

Thanks again family,

Blessings and love
